Escaped Inmate: Essex County Prisoner Captured After 90 Minutes, Police Say

An Essex County prisoner was captured after being on the lam for 90 minutes on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 29, authorities said.

The Essex County Sheriff's Office declined to disclose the name, age and reason for the prisoner's initial arrest but said officers began a search at 7 p.m. before he was taken back into custody at 8:30 p.m.
